The Great Climb

Sep 1st, 2010 | By | Category: Climbing, General

Dave MacLeod and Tim Emmett successfully managed to climb a route called ‘The Usual Suspects’ on the Isle of Harris at the weekend. Graded at E9 7a, this is 5 pitches of serious climbing by two of the top traditional climbers in the world.

Thankfully for the rest of us mere mortals, the BBC were on hand to film the whole ascent and it can be found on BBC iPlayer. Unfortunately, it’s only available until 4th September.

Have a quick look. There’s over 5 hours of footage, but 5 or 10 minutes viewing will have you hooked!

Go onto BBC iPlayer and search for ‘The Great Climb’.

Enjoy!
