Clothing
A base layer that will ‘wick’ moisture away from the skin For water sports, it’s best to have a full dry change of clothes (plus a towel!) A small rucksack is advisable for carrying spare clothes, food and drink. FootwearFor walking activities, a well fitting set of walking boots with good grip and ankle support are strongly recommended. Padded wool socks are also a good option. FoodParticipants are expected to bring along a packed lunch as food is not usually provided on courses. Sandwiches and other sources of carbohydrates are recommended. A few small nibbles are often a nice treat! Equipment
Mountain bikes and helmets can often be hired from the venues we ride at. The cost varies from place to place, but is normally about £20 for a day. If you will need to hire a bike, just let us know so that we can ensure that we go somewhere that gives us this option. Tents are not normally provided, but can normally be arranged at an additional cost if sufficient notice is given. AccommodationWe do not currently provide accommodation for courses. Due to differences in personal preference and budget, we find that participants prefer to make their own arrangements. To help with this, we have compiled a list we hope you will find useful in our links section. WeatherUnfortunately, we are unable to control the weather but we do make every effort to make the best of your day. Consequently, we do reserve the right to alter venues on safety grounds or, in discussion with you, in an effort to get the best of the conditions.
