1 Day Introduction to Hill Walking Course
Rather than simply giving you a day out in the hills, we hope that you'll come away with a basic understanding of some of the techniques and issues that you should be aware of before venturing into the hills on your own adventures. The exact content can be tailored to requirements or interest, but we would normally expect to look at basic navigation, appropriate equipment, land access and emergency procedures.

Intermediate Hill Walking Course
By the end of this course it is hoped that you will be confident in planning and undertaking your own days out in the hills. The first 2 days are as for the 2 day introduction to hill walking course. The extra day gives us the chance to look at route planning. However, rather than simply being given the theory, you will have the opportunity to plan your own day’s walk which we will undertake on day 3. This is an ideal way to go through the process and then actually learn from what went well and what might have been overlooked. Although we want to give you as much ownership as possible for the last day, it goes without saying that we’ll be with you every step of the way!
