Every now and again it makes a nice change to actually work inside for a bit, and even better if it’s a fun party. This afternoon, I found myself at Ellesmere College, using their indoor range to put on an archery party for the daughter of a member of staff (and good friend).
I like trying to get a balance between approaching something like archery with the seriousness it deserves and allowing everyone to not just enjoy the experience, but have genuine fun in the process. After a quick safety brief and some very basic coaching, we launched into a bit of practice before the fun and games began.
With a mix of competitions and personal challenges (some involving prizes), I think we managed to strike a good balance. All the girls seemed to enjoy themselves, and some games seemed to become almost addictive. Lots of fun – thanks for having me along!
