Canoeing with Active Adventures

During the Summer holiday, I like to offer a range of activities for those that live ┬álocally to us in North Shropshire. Over the last few years, I’ve seen a shift from those looking for activities for their children towards activities to enjoy together. In response to this, I’ve started offering a range of sessions open to a wide range of ages. The Active Adventures programme is the result, and seems to be growing in popularity.

Things kicked off today with a canoeing session on The Mere in Ellesmere. With the age varying between 9 and 47, we had a mixture of those up for getting wet and those a little more reserved in their approach to the water. However, a mixture of basic coaching, a bit of journeying and a few games before finishing off with some wet challenges for those so minded, seemed to make the most of the opportunity and the wonderful weather we were blessed with.
